There are many different pieces to the HVAC puzzle. To follow up our previous post about C. Elizabeth Reig, I wanted to dive into what a split A/C unit consists of.

“Split” air conditioners earned their name because they split the components of a traditional air conditioning system into two individual units – one indoor and one outdoor. The outdoor unit houses the compressor and condenser components, while the indoor unit contains the distribution and filter components.

CRW Mechanical, Inc. is excited to announce the completion of C. Elizebeth Reig! Our field guys did a tremendous job upgrading all class room HVAC units, installing new mechanical piping throughout the building, adding 10 new mini split units to heat/cool the hall ways, and adding a A/C split unit to the IT room!

There are many different strategies that can be used to cool your building. If you have a larger space CRW Mechanical, Inc. may recommend using a cooling tower.

Cooling tower systems work by using water to extract waste heat from a system and ejecting it into the atmosphere primarily through evaporation. The three key components of a cooling system are the cooling tower, recirculating pump, and heat exchanger.

During the 13101 Worldgate gas piping project CRW Mechanical, Inc. was responsible for rerouting 19 different gas lines so that the meters could be moved outdoors. Our field guys put up in total 1 mile of pipe on this project. The pipe ranged from 1-4” in diameter. Propress fittings were used on this project.
